The World War II Lamp is made from a Brass Shell Casing and the Lamp Base is
made from Bakelite.
This Brass Trench Art Lamp is used , in good condition and is marked U.S.S. Bebas (DE) Dec. 18, 1943, N. Caldonia. (New Caldonia). This WWII Trench Art is about 16" tall (top of shade) and the Lamp Base is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2".
According to Wikipedia the U.S.S. Bebas (DE - 10) was an Evarts-class short -hull Destroyer Escort in the service of the United States Navy and was named for Ensign Gus George Bebas.
